Taking Liberties . . .

This time last year we went to an event at the Wigtown Book Festival to hear Brian Bilston speak about and read some of his poems. He was very good. He has a dry sense of humour but also penetrative insights into our present condition. This year alas, the Festival is a virtual affair because of the Covid pandemic. Today, on Twitter, Brian Bilston has published another of his witticisms which he calls “Taking Liberties”.

I like it.
